Asia University Ranked Top 10 Among "Favorite University of Enterprises" for Two Consecutive Years

The results of the 1111 Job Bank's "2024 Favorite University of Enterprises Survey” have been released, with Asia University (AU) ranked 9th among private universities. AU, founded just 23 years ago, entered the top 10 for the first time last year and this year’s ranking, showed an advancement of 1 place. It is hailed by the media as the "youngest and most progressive university in Taiwan."

The survey also indicates that AU ranks 5th in Taiwan for the "Best Universities in the Social and Psychology Cluster" and 7th in the "Information Cluster." Recognized for its strong linkage with the enterprises, AU has been ranked among the "World's Best Universities" for 10 consecutive years. In the "2024 World University Subject Rankings," Asia University excelled in three major areas, being recognized as the top private university in Taiwan in one, and second in two others, demonstrating outstanding performance and gaining favor among employers.

According to the latest "2024 Favorite University of Enterprises Survey" released by 1111 Job Bank, AU is ranked 9th among "General Private Universities." After being hailed as the "youngest and most progressive university in Taiwan" last year, AU has improved its ranking again this year.

The survey further categorizes and recognizes universities based on their disciplines. AU ranks 5th nationwide in the "Best Universities in the Social and Psychology Cluster," praised for its rapid rise since its first inclusion in the rankings. Despite being the youngest university among those listed, AU’s Psychology Department, established in 2003, has garnered recognition for its performance in the workplace. It is one of the few departments approved by the Ministry of Examination to concurrently train Clinical Psychologists and Counseling Psychologists, offering students opportunities for learning, internships, and apprenticeships at China Medical University and Asia University-affiliated hospitals, integrating scientific theory with clinical practice.

Additionally, AU ranks 7th nationwide in the "Information Cluster," being commended for its increasing emphasis on graduates' immediate employability by enterprises and the focus on professionalism. Recent years have seen AU’s substantial investment in teaching resources acknowledge in graduates being favored by employers. AU has maintained its ranking among the "World's Best Universities" by Times Higher Education (THE) for 10 consecutive years. In the latest "2024 World University Subject Rankings," AU excelled in three major fields: "Computer Science," "Business and Economics," and "Social Sciences," being ranked first among private universities in Taiwan. Furthermore, it secured the second position in two other fields: "Clinical and Health" and "Life Sciences."

Tsai, President of Asia University, stated that over the past 23 years since its establishment, AU has seen a growing number of alumni making outstanding contributions across various sectors of society, demonstrating excellent knowledge and skills. Talent is highly valued by enterprises, and AU places emphasis on students' learning, particularly in maintaining up-to-date professionalism, such as in areas like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), enabling graduates to excel in any industry. The university's focus is on cultivating students' correct values and good attitudes. AU also promotes interdisciplinary independent learning, integrating innovative education and university social responsibility as its main focus. In many cases, programs are designed by students themselves to enhance their own capabilities. Additionally, free coaching classes for national examinations, English proficiency tests, and professional certifications are offered each year, with pass rates for national examination-related majors

Prof. Liao Rui-ming, Chairman of the Department of Psychology at AU, pointed out that the national examination for psychologists has a high threshold, requiring a Master's degree in psychology and completion of a full year of a full-time internship at a professional institution. Graduates of the Psychology Department at AU have displayed outstanding performance, with 6 individuals passing the Clinical Psychologist examination and 8 passing the Counseling Psychologist examination in the 112th academic year, totaling 14 passing the psychologist national examination. Among them, this year's graduate, Lu Wan-jing, obtained the psychologist certification in 3 years and is currently serving as a clinical psychologist at Taichung Veterans General Hospital.
