Keeping abreast of technological trends, Asia University signed a memorandum of cooperation on the 24th, led by President Jeffrey J. P. Tsai, with the General Manager of the Metaverse Technology Division at Taiwan's prominent PC manufacturer, Inventec Group, Mr. Chiu Chuan-cheng. Asia University will utilize the "Metaverse Virtual-Reality Homeland (VRSTATE)" application field created by Inventec to develop applications such as the "Metaverse Lecture Hall" and "Metaverse Health Management." The aim is to establish an integrated "Metaverse Campus" that combines virtual and real elements, fostering talent development in education, hardware, and services.

President Tsai expressed that Asia University is dedicated to promoting research and industry collaboration in technology. Eight years ago, the university positioned itself as the "AI Year" and established the first Metaverse base in central Taiwan. They incorporated AR and VR into teaching, providing excellent Metaverse environments for various departments. This year, the focus has evolved into the "Generative AI Year," integrating generative AI into teaching, research, and administrative services.

Inventec, in collaboration with Asia University, assisted in designing an AI virtual host. Recently, the AI virtual host served as a guide at the "Future Expo" and gained popularity among participating high school students and parents. Through ongoing collaboration, both parties hope to leverage Inventec’s Metaverse technology to further enhance various departments at Asia University.

Mr. Chiu Chuan-cheng, General Manager of the Metaverse Technology Division at Inventec, noted that Inventec has been deeply involved in the Metaverse for many years. The scope of the "Metaverse Virtual-Reality Homeland" includes AI model training, digital content creation, and economic digital space. He emphasized the importance of having a "sense of value" in the Metaverse, emphasizing the need to digitize physical product technologies.

Inventec is equipped with core technologies such as generative AI, digital twins, and multimodal human-machine interaction. With these, they aim to create a digital economic ecosystem in the Metaverse, covering areas like Expo Metaverse, Application Metaverse, Education Metaverse, Fashion Metaverse, and Cultural Creativity Metaverse. Asia University, being forward-thinking, is believed to contribute to a "win-win" situation through collaboration between the two entities.
